Coronavirus

This is a testing time for everyone. In order to keep all of us safe, we have had to make some changes.

So, what's changed?

Coronavirus has meant that we've had to change a few things while we all go through this global pandemic.

Because of the additional cleaning and disinfecting that is now required, we have had to put up our cleaning fees - the one-off fee payable per stay. We also have had to revert to using single-serving sachets for tea, coffee, sugar and breakfast cereals, which has also increased our costs.

Sadly, we've had to drop our practice of saying hello and giving you a personal introduction to our Annexe. What we have done instead is given a lot of information in the folder.

Corsham

Our area of Wiltshire has escaped the worst of the virus to date, and we'd like everyone to continue staying safe.

So, what's changed?

Some local shops have reduced their hours. You may have to queue outside the entrance, and shops may have a one-out, one-in policy, meaning you may have to queue outside.

Corsham Town Council's Facebook page generally contains the latest information about which facilities are open - it's a constantly changing situation.

Latest Government advice is that you can travel for exercise, and we do have some magnificent walks around the area. Open countryside is only 10 minutes walk away from the Annexe. If you do decide to drive somewhere else, please note that a number of local leisure facilities are still closed, including our main sports centre and library at the Springfield Centre, and the 2m distancing rules must be followed at all times.

Personally, we look forward to the time when people can freely visit and enjoy all the facilities of our wonderful town and surrounding area. Until then, we hope that people can enjoy staying safely in our Annexe.
